15th Anniversary Cruise!

So I haven't written in a LONG time.  The semester began, cupcakes took over, along with piano lessons and Joel's school schedule and I have no idea where the time went!  Also, I didn't have a camera until my sweet sister gave me her old one :)  But, this past week Joel and I got to go on a Royal Caribbean cruise to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary a few months early.  We went with my former college roommate and her husband, they got married 2 weeks after we did.  It turned out to be a great week to exit the NRV.  Temperatures were below zero here?  Our weather the first 2 days of the cruise was wonderful, warm and sunny.  Unfortunately the last 2 days were rainy and windy, so we didn't get as much sun as we would have liked.  The ship however was huge and had lots of fun stuff to do so we spent a lot of time exploring it and eating :)

Belize - we actually went snorkeling!  We had to swim for about one hour and by the end we were exhausted

Me and my yummy amarretto sour!

There was actually a tiny ice rink on the ship - we saw a great ice show there.  It was amazing how they could twirl and lift people while the boat was rocking.

This is us on the "promenade".  There were shops and restaurants along it and usually some type of music.  I did try a mini cupcake at the Cupcake Corner and it was awful! The icing was too hard and the cupcake was dry.

Joel going into our room, the kids were really interested in what our room looked like and how people would go to the bathroom on the ship :)

Overall we had a great time.  We didn't get to see much in Cozumel because of the weather, but Belize was beautiful.  The shows on the boat were terrific along with the food.
