Amelia's birthday/Christmas

Merry Christmas!  Here are a few pics from Amelia's 10th birthday and our Christmas at home.

Amelia in her birthday chair, a tradition that Joel inadvertently started a few years ago by decorating my chair on my birthday.  This year we celebrated by taking her friend roller skating with us and had a sleepover.

Uncle Brian, Aunt Jill, Dylan and Tyler also stopped by for a quick visit on their way home to Atlanta.  Tyler is almost a month old and Dylan is 2 1/2.

We got a new camera and for some reason a lot of the pictures are sideways.  I fixed them on our computer but they didn't stay that way for this blog.  Oh well!  Here is Amelia all dressed up for her Christmas program performance, she chose the sparkliest dress and it looks beautiful on her.

Luke enjoying his gummy worms from his stocking at 7am.

Emma was very excited about something!  Maybe it's the Toby Mac concert tickets that she got for Christmas along with Amelia...

Amelia got Emma a stuffed Minecraft thing. I don't understand their fascination with Mincraft but they each bought each other toys from it.  In fact, they received Christmas money before Christmas and they immediately used it to buy more gifts for each other on Amazon!  I was amazed.  Luke said he just wanted his sisters to be happy on Christmas. I think he might have inherited my love of gift giving.

Yes, a snow cone maker for Luke.  What else do you need at 7:30am but a grape snow cone?  Molly was terrified by the ice crushing sound. Oh and Luke wanted to just wear his birthday suit for Christmas morning. Luckily he kept the blanket wrapped around him.

A few exclamations from Luke today upon opening presents:  "Oh you shouldn't have!"  "It's too  much!  Too much"  I don't know where he gets his zany sense of humor!

Amelia bought Emma this panda hat/gloves combo last minute.

Emma's main gift from Joel was a chemistry set! She loves it and did experiments all day. Does this say anything about her future?

Luke got creative and made me a puppet show!  It's a small Christmas lights box, the puppet is made out of rainbow loom bands and taped to a pen.  There is also a Harry Potter card taped to the back of the "stage".  It definitely got the most creative award!

Here is Emma wearing her safety goggles and working with her new graduated cylinder.

Amelia got a Doodle book from Luke and these fun gel pens to color with.

Molly was definitely interested in all of the extra excitement this morning.  She especially wanted to go outside since it was almost 70 degrees!

Joel got Amelia a kit for making headbands, lip gloss, and lots of little rolls of fancy tape.

We spent the rest of the day NAPPING, reading, and eating cookies.  The weather outside is crazy for Christmas, warm and rainy.  Muddy too.  Tomorrow we head to PA to visit grandparents and hopefully watch some football!
